HOMERS IS RATED AS THE BEST ETHNIC restaurant in Winnipeg. For over 35 years, owner George Kanadstious stands by his ideals that good nutrition is paramount to good health. Always using fresh and natural ingredients is their hallmark of classic greek cuisine. I wanted to emphasize elements of food and sculptures. Photoshop's effective filters create a variety of impressive features, including conte crayon in the greenish pattern (above left) and embossed marble for the plate of tomatoes, (above). The bas relief filter (a raised effect) applied to the woman with birds are from the Elgin Marbles in the Parthenon. Fonts for the wine title are AvQuest—an ancient greek replica of writing.
THE MANITOBA AMPUTEE SPORTS AND RECREATION ASSOCIATION mission is to further the awareness of rehabilitation of amputees by organizing and encouraging personal involvement in social and recreational activities. Strong typography and sports related clipart emphasize consistency throughout the brochure.
