I DISCOVERED THE NAME DANTE when I was watching an olympic event, also when reading about the poet who when subjected to pain—persevered through it all. Add the letters "an" to it and it becomes a moderately slow tempo of music which I enjoy—from oscar peterson, tony bennett, the ray brown trio and sisa picari.
I like to make an impression from type onto paper. That’s just how I roll. Literally. I enjoy the art of typography, and having print look nice on menus, cards, brochures, stationary and many other foldy things my clients like it too—because they say "wow, does that look yummy".
What have I learned? The lasso tool, tables and picas are a man's best friend. I know my em and en dashes—not too many people care as much about letters as I do and that’s a good thing.
When it comes down to it success can make you go one of two ways. It can make you a prima donna, or it can smooth the edges, take away the insecurities, and let the nice things come out.
